At John W. Dresely, Jr. O.D., PLLC, our goal is to promote good eye health and enable you to have the clearest vision possible. We accept cash, checks, and most credit cards. We inform our Chantilly patients about exam and treatment costs before or at the beginning of your appointment. If you require a breakdown of costs, please let us know.
We do not participate with vision insurance plans. For routine vision examinations, if you have Vision Service Plan (VSP) we will send the necessary form and copy of your receipt to VSP on your behalf. They will then send you a check for what they cover. For other vision plans you can submit our receipt, which has the necessary codes, for reimbursement. Much of what we do falls under medical insurance. We do not participate with medical insurance plans, but we provide receipts that can be submitted for out of network reimbursement. While each insurance plan is different, we have found that many of our patients have been reimbursed for our services. The amount of coverage will vary depending on your personal insurance company.

Many employers are offering Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options to employees. Sometimes these are referred to as cafeteria plans and are elective, supplemental insurance savings plans. These plans are designed to let you save money in an account, pre-tax, to pay for additional medical expenses such as eye exams, glasses, contacts, and often vision therapy. Check with the benefits administrator at your work to see if you are eligible for this program. FSAs can typically be used in conjunction with any vision or medical insurance plan to offset any out-of-pocket costs on your behalf.

We accept various forms of payment and are able to discuss financing options with you prior to any examination. At John W. Dresely, Jr. O.D., PLLC, we also accept cash, check, CareCredit, and major credit cards. Call 703-657-3245 today to schedule your eye exam today.
